Who We Are & What We Do
At Mazie’s Early Years Consultancy, we are dedicated to advancing excellence across the early years and education sector. We work in partnership with Childminders, Pre-Schools, Nurseries, and Schools to strengthen professional practice and raise the quality of teaching, learning, and care.

With a team of experienced consultants, we support settings at every stage—from starting a childcare business and preparing for an Ofsted inspection, to implementing improvement strategies following areas identified as ‘Needs Attention’ or ‘Urgent Improvement’
We also provide guidance on Early Years Inclusion Funding (EYIF) and signpost parents to SEND and early intervention support.
Our bespoke consultancy packages combine expert guidance, high-impact training, and quality assurance visits to elevate standards and empower practitioners to deliver outstanding educational experiences.

Inspiring Confidence. Building Quality. Supporting Growth.

We support you to:

-
Strengthen curriculum, teaching, and leadership
-
Prepare leaders and staff to confidently showcase strengths
-
Conduct mock inspections and organise evidence
-
Plan for post-inspection improvement
Quality Assurance Visits
Our Quality Assurance Visits assess practice, identify strengths, highlight areas for improvement, and provide a clear action plan to help your setting meet and exceed early years standards.
We start with a free 30-minute telephone or video consultation. If you choose to proceed, we arrange a face-to-face visit to understand your setting, team, and specific needs.
During this visit, we will:
-
Observe your environment and daily practice to gain a clear understanding of your provision.
-
Identify strengths and areas for development across leadership, curriculum, and practice.
-
Discuss current challenges and priorities.
-
Develop a tailored action plan with achievable goals and clear next steps.
This initial assessment ensures that all support is personalised, relevant, and aligned with your setting's unique context.

Follow-Up and Review
Following the initial visit, we provide ongoing support through review meetings based on your setting’s needs (e.g., 2 or 4 weeks).
During these reviews, we will:
-
Monitor progress against the action plan
-
Evaluate the impact of changes or improvements made
-
Provide continued coaching, professional advice, and reflective guidance
-
Adjust goals to ensure sustainable development and long-term quality improvement
Our approach is collaborative, supportive, and non-judgemental, focused on empowering your team to deliver the best outcomes for children.
